About Mrs. DiStefano
As a Wayland High School graduate and a Loker School alum, it is with great excitement and enthusiasm that I rejoin the Loker School community teaching kindergarten! Although this is my first year teaching in Wayland, it is my 13th year teaching elementary school. I spent my first three years teaching second grade in Framingham at the Mary E. Stapleton School and then taught kindergarten, second, third, and fourth grades over the past nine years at the Katharine Lee Bates School in Wellesley.
I am a graduate of Wayland Public Schools and also a Loker School alum. I am a graduate of Wellesley College with a bachelor's degree in Psychology and a minor in Elementary Education. I also received my Masters of Elementary Education in Curriculum and Instruction with a Specialization in Literacy from Lesley University.
I live in Framingham with my husband, three daughters, and our Golden Retriever. When I'm not at school, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, reading, and baking. I also love being outside, taking walks, skiing, doing yoga, and traveling.
I am grateful to teach alongside of Mrs. Cappellucci and Mrs. Treffs in Room 22. Their love of children, enthusiasm for teaching and learning, and abilities to connect individually with students support the expert instruction they deliver and the relationships they build each day.
